There are many reasons why a special district might send employees abroad or out of state on business. It is important that members notify the Pool of the travel prior to making the arrangements. Many districts are not aware that employees traveling on district business internationally may not be covered for workers’ compensation if the destination is on Pool’s insurance carrier’s restricted list.
