In 2021, the CSD Pool is bringing back its scholarship program. The SDA Annual Conference provides numerous workshop sessions on subjects vital to special district governance and management as well as inspiration, entertainment, and networking opportunities.
Over 1,000 representatives of districts and associate members attend to take advantage of the networking and educational opportunities this annual event provides.
With the SDA Conference scheduled to be in person in September, we are encouraging new staff, supervisors, and Board members who have never attended to apply. Applications are now being received and reviewed, and recipients will be notified that they have been selected in early August.
The scholarship reimburses the district directly for the following:
- A $900 scholarship available for attending the SDA Annual Conference
- Board members, district managers, key supervisors, and employees are eligible
- Pays for mileage, food, lodging, and admissions fees
In the event that SDA Conference is not held in person and moves to a virtual format, applicants will be moved to the front of the line in 2022. In addition, applicants from 2020 will have priority for 2021, but there are more than enough spots. Considerations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis.
