Kim Chapman has joined the Pool administration team as our new Property and Liability Senior Underwriter. Kim has over 34 years of industry experience. She will collaborate with the rest of the Pool administration team and the Board of Directors to ensure we continue to provide the quality service our members expect.
Kim began her insurance career with Jardine Risk Management as an underwriting assistant on their captive program for the Scaffolding Industry Association (SIA).
In the years since, Kim has worked as both an underwriter and a broker, gaining experience in a wide array of commercial insurance business. During her time as a broker at Aon, she managed the account for one of the major motion picture and television studios in Hollywood. Before relocating to Oregon, she was an Underwriting Manager for OneBeacon Insurance.
Kim grew up in Southern California and fell in love with Oregon on her annual family summer vacations. She moved to the Portland area in 2010, where she met her husband Brian in 2015.
They are newlyweds, having tied the knot in April of this year, and they plan to honeymoon in Europe in the spring of 2021. Kim’s son, Jacob, just completed his first year studying Astrophysics at Oregon State University and is an avid classic rock fan. Her other “children” are her mischievous twin 1-year-old cats, Sansa and Arya.
Kim has already proven to be a tremendous asset to our customers and our team. She’s brought a wealth of experience, knowledge, and organizational skills that have made our operation that much more efficient.
