Paula Lowder has joined the Pool administration team as our new Claims Consultant. Ms. Lowder has over twenty years of workers’ compensation claims experience. She will collaborate with the rest of the Pool administration team, the Board of Directors, and the claims adjusters to ensure that our claims administration team meets the high bar for service, excellence, accuracy, and timeliness that our members expect.
Ms. Lowder started her claims management career with Catholic Health Initiatives where she managed all aspects of claims management. She then moved to Zurich NA as a Senior Claims Adjuster as well as CCMSI, which included various claims management and supervisory responsibilities.
She also worked at TRISTAR Risk Management where she worked directly with the CSD Pool, the service team, and our members. Since then, Ms. Lowder joined Aon as a WC Claims Manager on site for a dedicated client, where she managed their Domestic WC and Defense Base Act Claims for over 7,000 employees worldwide.
Paula has been married for 30 years, has two grown children, and a precious granddaughter. Her son is active duty in the Navy, currently assigned to the USS Portland (LPD 27). Paula and her husband enjoy many summer and fall weekends camping with their two dogs, Smokey and April. She is a 5th generation native of Colorado.
Additionally, Paula is a member of the Colorado Self-Insurers Association (CSIA), Colorado Public Risk Management Association (CO PRIMA), and Rocky Mountain Risk Management Society (RIMS).
Paula has already proven to be a tremendous asset to our customers and our team. She has excellent communication and leadership skills and is a self-starter who has initiative and a strong desire to help our members succeed. She is able to establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with customers and colleagues. Legal counsel and medical providers recognize her as a skilled expert in the industry.
