Did you know that OSHA has mandatory minimum requirements for what goes in a First Aid Kit? The list below features what they’d like to see for a workplace of 2 to 3 people. If your worksite has more than that, you should expand what you have on hand appropriately.
- 4 x 4 Inch Gauze Pads (1 box)
- 8 x 10 inch Gauze Pads (2 minimum)
- Adhesive Bandages (1 box)
- 2-inch wide Gauze Bandage (1 roll)
- Triangular Bandages (2 minimum)
- Wound cleaning agents, such as moistened towelettes (1 box, bottle, etc.)
- Scissors
- Thermal Blanket
- Tweezers
- Adhesive tape
- Latex gloves
- Resuscitation equipment such as resuscitation bags, airway supplies, or pocket masks
- Elastic wraps (2)
- Splint
- Directions for requesting emergency assistance
